Musical Mingles

Role: UX/UI Designer
Musical Mingles was a collaborative project with the NY Philharmonic that let players create and interact with visual and audio compositions. The style had already been established when I joined the project, but I was brought on later in its development to help give the game a visual and experiential refresh. My role focused on reworking the flow, layouts, and overall UX to make the experience more cohesive, intuitive, and socially engaging. As part of the process, I incorporated player feedback to identify friction points and opportunities for improvement. This user-centered approach helped guide meaningful updates—everything from rethinking navigation to refining how players view and listen to their "compositions" they created. It was a great opportunity to apply my design knowldege while also reinforcing my belief that the best experiences are shaped by listening to players and iterating thoughtfully.
