HISTORY Civil War

This one was a lot of fun! The HISTORY Channel approached us to create a game and website to support a scholarship they were sponsoring based on a student's knowledge of the Civil War. The problem: how do you make a trivia game about the Civil War feel fun and arcade-like? With that goal in mind, I created an aesthetic that was gritty, integrated photos from HISTORY channel, and had sleek animations in between answers to make the experience feel as engaging and immersive as possible. The end result was some really successful gamification of the subject matter, including great reviews from students who were using it to compete for the scholarship.
